Tom Howarth
Dougie and I started out together
doing discos in 1969 both just old enough to drive but not old enough to drink
so I did the driving and Dougie did the drinking.
Many may remember the early days the Guide Hall,St. Brendan's and then the Bowling Alley where Dougie really started gaining his reputation as an entertainer and not just another D.J.
Dougie and I spent those first 2
years together in the' music business ' and it was to be the foundation of a
long and illustrious career in music for Dougie because for Dougie it was
music first and business second that's how he started and that's how it was in
the end.
Born with a name made for radio
the name didn't need changing and Dougie couldn't be for Dougie it was all
about the music.
